About This Event
The Australian Indian Event Co. (AIEC Events) brings its Big Fat Fake Indian Wedding to Sydney - a Bollywood club night staged as a mock shaadi where, as the organisers put it, the drama is real but the wedding is not.
The night runs on Bollywood DJs and live dhol, with sangeet-style dancing, staged rasams and baraat moments, full shaadi decor, a themed photo booth, a henna artist and complimentary cocktail pani puri. Prizes go to the Dulha and Dulhan of the Year and to the best dressed, so lehengas, sherwanis and wedding-guest finery are the whole point rather than any formal dress code.
It runs from 9:30pm on Friday 14 August 2026 through to 3:00am on Saturday morning - five and a half hours - at Room 22, 22 Bayswater Road, Potts Point. Strictly 18+, so bring photo ID.
Tickets are on Eventbrite and prices shown are all-in: Students with compulsory ID $21.10, Females $26.24, General Admission $31.38, a Couples special at $51.93, and a Group of 5 at $123.85 which must include at least two females. VIP booths with bottle service can be arranged by calling 0478 950 060. There are no refunds. Event updates are posted on Instagram at @aiec.events.
