About This Event
The Hindu Temple and Cultural Centre (HTCC) invites you and your family to take part in a Shiva Rudra Yagya on Sunday 23 August 2026, from 10:00am to 12:30pm at the temple, 81 Ratcliffe Crescent, Florey, followed by Bhojan Prasadam.
HTCC is seeking 108 families to participate. During the Rudra Yagya each participating family will prepare 108 Shivlingams. Devotees are asked to bring only flowers and fruits for the offerings. Shravan Maas (Sawan) is regarded as one of the most auspicious times to worship Lord Shiva and to perform the Rudra Yagya.
The yagya contribution is $51 per family. Registration is required by 21 August 2026 — contact Pandit Ji on 0420 264 578 or Lakhan Sharma on 0407 245 525.
Alongside the yagya, HTCC is undertaking the sacred installation of 1008 Shivlingams in the temple. Sponsorship of a Shivlingam Sthapana and pooja is $1,100; to sponsor, contact Prakash Mehta on 0418 800 753 or any HTCC Executive Committee member. General donations can be made by PayID using the temple's ABN, 6446 9334 050, and enquiries go.
