About This Event
Flow and Food Yoga & Ayurveda hosts the Shishir edition of its Ayurveda Sound Healing Ritual — "Awaken, Flow and Renew" — on Sunday 30 August 2026 from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Guide Koko leads participants through effortless meditation techniques, the resonance of seven-chakra Tibetan singing bowls, the application of beeja mantras and gentle breathing, with the aim of cultivating lunar energy and easing the body through Ayurveda's dosha-seasonal shift. The rituals are designed to support grounding, recalibration and relaxation, and to give deep rest.
Ayurveda recognises six seasons, or Ritus, each with its own dosha tendencies, environmental qualities and energetic needs. The studio frames each ritual in the series as a seasonal reset for intention-setting, inner reflection and renewal. The 2026 series runs Varsha (22 February), Sharad (19 April), Hemant (15 June), Shishir (30 August), Vasant (11 October) and Greeshma (6 December).
No experience is necessary and everybody of any ability is welcome. A chair and supportive props can be provided if you would like to attend but cannot comfortably lie on the floor — mention it when you sign up by emailing Tracey. Arrive 15 minutes early, as the door is closed and locked on time.
Tickets are $59.54 including booking fees, through Eventbrite. The studio is at Ground Floor Unit 6, Embark, 253 Northbourne Avenue, Lyneham. Parking is available behind the building and on the street, with two small carparks nearby in Lyneham within a short walk; it is best to drop a pin. Look for the A-frame sign, flower pots and large community picnic table out front. Spaces are limited.
