Naga Chaturthi / Naga Panchami 2026

Sri Sai Siva Vishnu Temple in Truganina observes Naga Chaturthi and Naga Panchami on Sunday 16 August 2026. The temple's own poster sets out two worship windows on the day: 9:00am to 12:00pm, and again from 7:00pm to 8:30pm, with the evening session followed by an Annadhanam dinner. The temple's events calendar lists the observance as running across the full 9:00am to 8:30pm span.

The serpent deities are honoured with special abhishekam and offerings, and devotees are able to perform the abhishekam to the Naga idol themselves. The temple recommends the pooja particularly for those seeking relief from Naga dosha, Kala Sarpa dosha and Rahu dosha.

Attending is free. Sponsoring the Naga Chaturthi/Panchami pooja costs $51, and an Annadhanam (food offering) donation is $75; all pooja items are included in a sponsorship. Sponsors pay and register online, then need to contact the temple on (03) 8375 1506 to be allocated a pooja time. When registering, provide the names of everyone (and any business names) to be included, along with Gothra, Rasi and Nakshathra details if known, and show your payment confirmation at the temple counter on the day to collect your pooja items.
