About This Event
Ink'Laab 2.0: Write "the Revolution" is an immersive evening of revolutionary poetry, storytelling and live Indian classical music presented by Soch.Live. Rooted in the Hindi, Urdu and Punjabi literary traditions, it celebrates the power of words to question, resist, heal and inspire. This edition is framed as a response to a time when students, women, journalists, artists and ordinary citizens face intimidation, violence or the silencing of their voices, and stands as a reminder that art has always been a form of resistance. The programme moves through themes of freedom, identity, dignity and hope, and the organisers describe it as a space for reflection and meaningful conversation rather than for taking sides.
The line-up is headlined by Krishna Bhardwaj and also features Hamza Surbuland, Jashan Kaur, Nishant, Bimal Singh and Jigar Doshi. The evening runs three hours at the Performance Space inside Library at the Dock, 107 Victoria Harbour Promenade, Docklands. Doors open at 5:20pm for a 6:00pm start, finishing about 9:00pm. Tickets are A$39.90 each — a single tier with Eventbrite booking fees included — and no refunds are offered. Recommended for ages 12 and over; free parking is available and the venue is a short walk from the Docklands free-tram-zone stops.
