About This Event

Ishq Sufiyana is a tribute to the poetry and philosophies of the Sufi saints — Amir Khusrow, Bulleh Shah and Kabir. Performer Laksh Maheshwari weaves the narratives of these figures on stage, unravelling their stories of love, spirituality and self-discovery, and taking the audience through the mystic realm of Sufism. To close the evening he decodes and narrates the tragic love story of Laila Majnu alongside the legendary songs from that epic, in an immersive show where stories meet songs and the divine and the romantic intertwine.

The performance runs about two hours at Malvern Theatre Company, 29 Burke Road, Malvern East. Doors open at 6:30pm for a 7:00pm start and the show finishes around 9:00pm. Tickets are A$65.70 each — a single price tier with Eventbrite booking fees included — and the organiser's stated refund policy is no refunds. The show is in person, recommended for ages 12 and over, and free parking is available at the venue. Presented by Marching Elephants Ent & The Laughter Factory, part of their ANZ SG KL line-up collection; other shows by the same promoter are listed at linktr.ee/tlfmeent.
