About This Event
Threads of Love - The Rakhi Edit is a one-day Rakhi and Teej shopping pop-up run by Spirit Evnts at LXD Lounge in Chadstone on Saturday 15 August 2026, 11:00am to 7:00pm, with doors opening at 10:55am. Entry is free for everyone; walk-ins are welcome, though the organisers recommend registering online through Eventbrite for a quicker check-in.
Between 12 and 15 curated boutique exhibitors will be trading, and the organisers expect roughly 300 to 500 visitors across the day, so the room is meant to stay comfortable rather than crowded. Stalls cover exclusive Rakhi collections, Teej fashion and ethnic wear, designer clothing, jewellery, handbags and accessories, home decor, gifts and hampers, beauty and lifestyle products, kidswear and festive sweets, with event-only deals and new festive collections launching on the day. Most exhibitors take both cash and card, though payment options vary by stall.
There is a VIP Hour from 11:00am to 12:00pm offering complimentary drinks, early access to shop, easier access to the mehendi artist and a more relaxed browse. A professional mehendi artist works throughout the day for Teej and festive henna, and there is a tarot reader on site. Because the date falls on India's Independence Day the organisers are also planning surprise kids' activities including face painting. Food and drinks can be bought all day from the LXD Lounge in-house cafe. The event is family friendly and all ages, and ample free parking is available at Chadstone.
