About This Event
Ragam Incorporated — the Riverstone and Grantham Farm Association of Malayalees — hosts Ragam Onam 2026 on Saturday 22 August 2026 from 4:30pm to 9:30pm at the Riverstone Senior Citizens Centre, 9 Park Street, Riverstone NSW 2765.
The evening brings the RAGAM family together for Kerala's harvest festival with a programme of cultural performances and dances by community members, a live Chendamelam — the thunderous Kerala temple percussion ensemble played on the chenda drum — and a full traditional Onam Sadhya, the vegetarian feast served on a banana leaf.
Tickets are booked in advance through Eventik: $35 for adults aged 15 and over, $20 for children aged 5 to 15, and $100 for a family ticket covering two adults and two children. Children under 5 are free. The sadhya is included with entry rather than sold separately, and tickets should be secured early as the senior citizens centre is a modest community hall.
