About This Event
Flight to Freedom
Break Free! Discover You! Live True!
This inspiring CHYK youth retreat with Swami Shrikaranandaji is centred on a powerful question: can we remain free within, no matter what life brings? In a world full of praise and criticism, success and failure, joy and difficulty, the retreat explores how true freedom does not come from controlling the outside world, but from discovering balance, clarity and peace within ourselves.
Drawing from the Bhikshu Gita in the Srimad Bhagavatam Maha Purana — particularly from verse 33 onwards — the retreat offers participants an opportunity to dive into transformative wisdom in a meaningful and accessible way. No prior knowledge is required, making it welcoming for anyone ready to reflect, learn and grow.
What attendees will experience
Participants will be invited to:
- explore timeless spiritual teachings from the Bhikshu Gita
- reflect on how to face life without losing inner balance or a sense of self
- deepen self-understanding through guided retreat sessions
- connect with other young adults in a supportive CHYK environment
- enjoy an immersive retreat setting with food, accommodation and study materials included
Retreat essentials
Attendees are encouraged to bring:
- sleeping bag, pillow and bed sheets
- a water bottle
- notebook and pen
- warm clothing and a beanie for early morning activities
- a cushion to sit on during classes and activities
Limited single beds are available on a first come, first served basis, with consideration for medical needs.
Who it’s for
This retreat is open to 18 to 35 year olds and is designed for youth seeking spiritual insight, personal growth and a deeper connection to themselves through Vedantic wisdom.
A retreat with purpose
With the uplifting call to “Break Free! Discover You! Live True!”, this retreat promises more than a getaway — it is an invitation to begin the journey inward. As the organisers put it: Your Flight to Freedom begins within.
